Honda Shine

Now-a-days Honda Shine is getting its place in the roads of Bangladesh. It entered the country in mid 2009. Honda Shine is powered by an astonishing 125cc 'Optimax' engine which produces 10.3 BHP. The engine helps to maintain optimum input for maximum output. This way it delivers the best of both mileage and pickup. Compared to the Unicorn, the Shine has instruments that are boring, though the bike does well for itself with neat switches. The bike’s four-stroke, air-cooled and single-cylinder engine has been termed ‘Optimax’ and is broadly a scaled down version of the Unicorn power plant. Power output is 10.3bhp@7500rpm, a full bhp lower than its direct competitor - Bajaj’s Discover. It gets top speed of 100kmph. Shine is a very fuel efficient bike. It goes about 55kilometer/litre in city and 78kilometer/litre (according to official test). It features self-start and disc brake at front along with alloy wheels. The surprising point is it goes 0-60 within 5.30 seconds. Shine simple enough but it is brilliant in performance. Fuel capacity of this bike is 11litre. Including fuel it weights about 122kg.
